Emily Reno


Research Scientist

Emily A. Reno, PhD, CCC-SLP is a research scientist at MILE and a former public school speech-language pathologist. Emily’s research focuses on leveraging connections among language, reading, and writing to inform school-based practices that contribute to more equitable reading and writing outcomes for students with language-based learning disabilities and complex communication needs. Emily holds a PhD in special education from the University of Minnesota; an MS in speech, language, and hearing sciences from the University of Arizona; and BS degrees in speech and hearing science and family and human development from Arizona State University.
