Caitlin is the Assistant Director for Administration & Finance at the Maryland Initiative for Literacy & Equity and the Maryland Language Science Center (LSC). She is responsible for finances, events, personnel, grants, and generally leaping over tall buildings. She has been with MILE since 2023 and LSC since 2016. Caitlin has a degree in Religious Studies and Arabic from the University of Texas, Austin (2011). From 2011-2016 she was coordinator and then senior coordinator for special programs within the University of Maryland's School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. She worked primarily with the Arabic and Persian Language Flagship Programs, Summer Institute, and Project GO. Somewhere along the way she also spent time living in Yemen and is a potter (on the side).
