Maryland Today: Ana Patricia Rodríguez Consulted For Film Highlighting Salvadoran Experiences
Policy & Outreach Pillar Member Ana Patricia Rodríguez was consulted during the making of "Las Muertes Mas Bellas del Mundo," a film about poet and activist Quique Avilés and other local Salvadoran artists.
The film follows Quique Avilés, who led film production, and other local Salvadoran artists as they examine the generational trauma that has affected the DC metropolitan area's Salvadoran population. Rodríguez was consulted to guarantee historical accuracy in the film and help determine the best participants to interview.
Rodríguez's involvement in the film underscores the MILE team's shared goal, within and beyond initiative projects, to amplify the voices of marginalized groups in the community. Read more about the film in “Honoring ‘Las Muertes’ in Maryland Today.
