PAID RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY: Help Us Test a New Way to Identify 3rd Graders with Language Difficulties!
The MILE team is seeking legal caregivers of 3rd-grade children to participate in a research study at the University of Maryland. Your participation will help us test a new method for identifying language difficulties in children.
Study Overview:
Caregivers will:
Follow the QR code or link to complete a brief screener.
Bring their child to the University of Maryland for a short visit, where the child will complete a brief survey about their language skills.
To qualify, your child must:
Be in 3rd grade
Speak only English
Have no history of intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, or being d/Deaf or hard of hearing
Have either a history of language difficulty OR typical development
During the study, children will:
Complete two short writing samples
Complete a brief spoken sentence repetition task
Caregivers will earn a $50 gift card for completing the study.
Participation will take no longer than 25 minutes.
